10/11/2008 : TVH AIMS HIGH ON 'CLEVER HANDS'

For the second time TVH – Group Thermote & Vanhalst takes part in the exhibition Clever Hands. This exhibition is organized by the city of Waregem and takes place in Waregem Expo. The goal of the exhibition is to introduce students to various technical sectors within the Waregem business world. As one of the largest employers on the territory, TVH of course couldn’t be absent.

No dirty hands, but clever hands.

With this slogan the Waregem city council wants to revalue the technical education. At the same time it wants to offer a reply to the often heard call from companies that “insufficient schooled technical personnel are available”. To make everything a bit more appealing for the youth, the exhibition is interpreted as an action exhibition. TVH likes to take advantage of this by providing aerial platforms and all kinds of lifting equipment. This way the visiting students, wearing a complete safety harness, are taken aboard a telescopic boom lift to enjoy a spectacular panoramic view over the entire exhibition. Or they can measure up to one another by hanging by a pair of jeans on the forks of a lift truck as long as they can. At the same time TVH’s representatives will try to pass on the pleasant atmosphere within the technical departments to the students. Clever hands have a guaranteed future with TVH.
