19/12/2008 : FIRST BLOOD DONATION AT TVH - GROUP THERMOTE & VANHALST HAS BEEN A SUCCESS.
Last Monday, TVH - Group Thermote & Vanhalst, worldwide supplier of forklifts, access equipment and replacements parts, has for the first time organised a ‘ blood donation’ event. The company and the blood transfusion centre are very pleased with the results; a considerable increase in the number of donors has been reached with the attendance of quite a number of new blood donors. 57 donors left their work place for a short time to donate blood in the showroom, which had been specially equipped for the occasion. For more than 33 of them this was the very first time. - A success!!
The assistants of the blood transfusion centre confirmed they were very happy with this attendance of that many people. “We keep working on taking on new donors”, said the collection responsible. “We daily need blood for operations, deliveries and after traffic accidents. An initiative, as the one taken by TVH, is a contribution that is more than welcome!”
For TVH the blood donation is an excellent opportunity to take their social responsibility. A tradition will be launched as from now on; on 19/10/2009, the employees will again be invited for another blood donation.
