Royal visit to the town of Waregem: KING ALBERT II ALSO VISITED TVH – GROUP THERMOTE & VANHALST.
Employees and management at TVH – Group Thermote & Vanhalst in Waregem, have been looking forward to the visit of King Albert II and then yesterday the big moment finally arrived. The King visited TVH, world-wide supplier of forklift trucks, parts and handling equipment.
After being welcomed by the town of Waregem, King Albert II and Queen Paola, took the time to greet the citizens. The King and his entourage continued their journey to TVH accompanied by the mayor and two aldermen, while the Queen started her part of the programme for the day.
The company was presented to the King, during a meeting with the families Thermote and Vanhalst and the rest of the management team. After that, the human story behind the business was raised, particularly the way TVH adapt themselves in times of crisis with reference to the employees.
Next, the King visited the sales offices followed by the automatic parts warehouse. King Albert II was very impressed by the ingenious operation of the well-oiled network of conveyor belts, sorting machines and order picking.
An hour later the time was already there to leave again. All employees got the opportunity to wave the royal company goodbye.
