WEST-FLEMISH CHARTER FOR CORPORATE SUSTAINABILITY FOR TVH

During the annual presentation of the year certificates of the West-Flemish Charter for Corporate Sustainability today TVH – Thermote & Vanhalst, the world's largest one-stop shop in forklift trucks, spare parts and accessories, was among the winners for the thrd year in a row. It was Marleen Titeca-Decraene, deputy for economy of the province of West-Flanders, who presented the charter.

Strengths

TVH is particularly proud of the recognition the company and its employees have received for the third time for the daily efforts that are made in the field of sustainability.

The audit that was carried out as a part of the Charter for Corporate Sustainability didn't reveal any non-conformity or bottleneck. On the contrary, TVH was able to persuade the jury by means of a number of strengths.

One of these strengths was the dashboard with which TVH follows up some important sustainability factors. In addition, several other initiatives were praised:
. the organization of social activities within the company results in a nice balance between work and recreation,
. there is no discrimination based on age whatsoever during recruitments or mutations,
. the training efforts for managers,
. the risk analyses of the workplaces,
. the renovation of the building in which the electronics department is housed, into a certified low-energy building,
. the reuse, after revision, or parts.

TVH also received some recommendations from the auditors. Input which the company will definitely put to good use in the future.
