TVH's constant growth has led the company to reach an important milestone. The company - located in Waregem and a global player in the field of lift trucks and industrial vehicles and their spare parts - welcomed Fien Pareit as its 2000th permanent employee in Belgium. Four years ago, the counter was still at 1500 employees.
TVH has its headquarters in Waregem, but thanks to branches all over the world, the company has more than 6000 employees. In Belgium alone, they now employ 2000 permanent employees. In addition, there are also freelancers, consultants and temporary employees, which brings us to a total of about 2200 colleagues.
Because of the growth of the company, there are open vacancies in various departments. "It's quite symbolic that our 2000th permanent employee was hired for the Recruitment department. This means Fien will also help to fill in the other vacancies", says Nathalie De Paepe, Team leader Recruitment & Selection.
"I immediately felt at home"
After working for an employment agency for three years, where Fien was among others responsible for TVH's file, she was warmly welcomed by her new employer. "I ended up in a nice working environment and felt right at home. The enthusiasm of the colleagues and the family atmosphere immediately struck me. I am responsible for the selection and recruitment of the logistics profiles", says Fien.
In 2018, TVH filled in 615 job openings of which 120 because of internal shifts. Currently, there are 160 open vacancies in all departments: IT, Purchasing, Sales, Logistics ... "Those are positions for both recent graduates and experienced people. But what's most important to TVH is the attitude. A candidate has to fit our corporate culture. Employees can keep learning with us, for example at our own training centre, TVH Academy. Who knows, maybe we can end the year hitting a new milestone, like 2500 permanent employees", Nathalie concludes.
