TVH recently hosted their 2nd annual career fair. Representatives from 15 departments got the chance to talk with motivated employees about the variety of opportunities to further their career path within the company. "We had another great career fair this year, and saw a lot of new faces.” Said Bryan Brazil, Talent Acquisition Supervisor. “Our event last year included conversations and introductions that lead to 65 job shadow applications, 24 career coaching participants, and a current internal recruitment success rate of over 34%. This event is also a great opportunity for increasing communication between departments with the representatives in attendance."
A total of 60 employees attended the career fair, which for the second year in a row, was a huge success. After the event, there was a boost in internal applications and spiked interest in the job shadow program. “I am so glad to be able to participate with this event,” said Jeannette Robinson, Global Marketing Director who sat at the Marketing and Advertising table. “It’s always fun to get to meet with employees from other departments, especially employees that are interested in joining my team.” The feedback from the employees who attended the fair was very positive. Leslie Pratt, Receptionist said, "The internal career fair was extremely helpful for me, being a new employee, to better understand the continuity of operations here at TVH. As a receptionist, it was helpful for me to know who to transfer calls to, put a face to the name, and it was nice to meet a lot of the managers that I wouldn't usually see. It was an exciting opportunity."
