Breathe New Life Into Your Forklift with the Right Attachment

While forks are undeniably the most popular attachment for a forklift, they are not always the right tool for the job. Material handling needs evolve each year to the point where the standard fork is no longer able to complete certain tasks safely or efficiently. Many different forklift attachment designs and configurations have been developed over the years to help provide safer product handling, reduce pallet damage and increase efficiency and productivity in the workplace. Gone are the days when lifting and lowering pallets were your only option. It is amazing what new capabilities a forklift can have when outfitted with the proper attachment. Understanding the most common forklift attachments and their benefits is essential.

Here are some of the most common:

Sideshifter: The most common attachments that also come in a slim/low profile model. They grant constant sideshifting ability in both directions.

Clamps: Help with fork positioning and clamping loads. As well as assist in handling palletless loads.

Push/Pull: Allow you to handle unit loads on inexpensive slip sheets instead of pallets. They help to decrease maintenance costs, storage area needed, and damaged goods.

Fork Positioners:  Help with reducing pallet damage, increasing visibility, and saving time. The forks do not need manually adjusted with this attachment

Rotators:  Allow the forks too safely and efficiently rotated for dumping. This increases safety and allows better time management.
