TVH is hitting the gym and flexing its muscles this year as it’s awarded the Healthy KC Workplace Wellness Award at the platinum level. Healthy KC honors organizations for innovation and excellence in promoting a culture of health in the workplace. The KC Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of KC, assesses local businesses based on four pillars. These pillars are Nutrition, Physical Fitness, Tobacco cessation and Mindfulness/Whole Person.
TVH’s company-wide Nudge Program emphasizes physical fitness, nutrition and overall well-being for its employees. The program offers a variety of opportunities for all employees to be physically fit with access to an on-site gym, active work areas and walking challenges. These health and wellness initiatives go even further than just physical fitness by offering classes on mental health, financial planning, meditation and more.
