TVH donates 40,000 euro for charity

23 January 2020

Every year, TVH goes all out during the 'Warmste Week', an initiative of the Flemish Radio and Television Broadcasting Corporation (VRT). Every year in December, they make an appeal to organise as many activities for charity as possible. As other years, TVH organised its own Christmas market and made a Top 15 of songs. These actions yielded a nice amount of 4,885 euro. On top of that, TVH Equipment also sponsored the Warmste Week as a logistics partner, so that the total amount was no less than 40,000 euro.

We look back with satisfaction on a successful Warmste Week at TVH. Faithful to tradition, we organised a Christmas market that took place on 12 December at the main office in Waregem. About twenty stallholders, all internal employees of TVH, brought their own creations to sell at the Christmas market. The visitors were amazed by the stands selling chocolate milk, piros (a local speciality), cocktails, wine, crochet and knitting, LEGO baubles, homemade accessories, TVH Christmas sweaters that were designed in-house, shortbread, fudge, party crowns, traditional jams, granola, pancakes, gin, home-brewed beer...

The proceeds of all sold articles and the We Are One Top 15 - a list of songs that allowed colleagues to vote for their favourite record for a month - amounted to no less than 4,885 euro. The money went to the charities that TVH also supported earlier in 2019. For example, the Social Committee organised a bake sale (for the Crohn- & Colitis ulcerosa Vereniging vzw), a sausage bake (for Make-A-Wish) and a 'klaaskoeken' breakfast (for vzw De brugge). Every single one of these charities is important to TVH because one or more employees attach great importance to them.

But there were more than just internal actions. About 40 employees participated in the Warmathon on 18 December in Courtrai - a running competition organised by the Warmste Week of which the registration fee went to charity. In addition, TVH Equipment made several machines from its fleet available to help set up the event.

On 19 December, we were proud to hand our cheque of no less than 40,000 euro to the radio presenters of the Flemish radio station 'Studio Brussel'. In the name of all TVH employees, a song from the top three of the We Are One Top 15 was requested: Elevation by U2.
