TVH EMPLOYEES SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE DUATHLON

30 May 2025

TVH, a global player in parts and accessories for industrial vehicles, continues to invest strongly in employee well-being. This was once again evident during the fourth edition of the TVH Nudge Stars, in which 20 colleagues from Belgium and abroad were professionally prepared over six months for the Izegem quarter triathlon on 29 May. Due to poor water quality, the swimming portion was cancelled, and the triathlon became a duathlon. In total, no fewer than 110 TVH employees took part in the sporting event.

TRAINING AND DEDICATION

The 20 Nudge Stars began their training journey in December 2024, guided by experts from Golazo. Each participant received a personalized training plan, access to professional coaching, and a sports outfit in TVH’s recognizable colours. They trained together for months with one clear goal: to cross the finish line of the quarter triathlon. Although initially disappointed by the cancellation of the swimming leg, they quickly refocused and gave their all in the duathlon: 2.5 km running, 40 km cycling, followed by another 10 km running.
“What the Nudge Stars achieve is truly impressive,” says Isabelle Van de Voorde, Director of Internal Communication & Employee Experience at TVH. “They are an inspiration to our organization. They show what’s possible when people receive the right support and motivation.”

PROMOTING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

The Nudge Stars are the face of Nudge, TVH’s well-being program. Through this initiative, the company encourages employees to adopt sustainable healthy habits. TVH has already won several awards thanks to Nudge and was once again nominated this year as Sports Company of the Year by Sport Vlaanderen. The company offers free group classes like yoga, sports tournaments, a Finnish running track, and a basketball court. Regular features of the program include health checks and challenges like the annual step contest: the Lignaverda Challenge.
Peter Geiregat, Chief People Officer at TVH: “Our Nudge health program goes beyond just physical activity. It also focuses on healthy eating and mental well-being. The idea is simple: healthy employees feel better, are more positive, and show greater engagement at work.”

MOVING FOR A GREENER PLANET

Alongside the participation in the Izegem triathlon, this month also saw the return of the Lignaverda Challenge - a global sporting initiative where TVH employees aim to collectively cover 150,000 active kilometers. For every 10 kilometers walked, run, or cycled, TVH plants a tree along the Great Green Wall in Senegal.
Previous editions have already resulted in 225,000 trees planted, contributing to CO₂ offsetting, combating desertification, and supporting local communities.
