About SUCO
SUCO is a global player that designs and manufactures pressure switches and pressure transmitters. Its story starts in 1938 when Robert Scheuffele opened an engineering workshop. The company gained traction when he began his partnership with Georg Fuhrmann in 1945. A year later, the company started producing centrifugal clutches and brakes. In 1956, SUCO formally registered its trade name.
SUCO expanded its activities with electromagnetic clutches and brakes in 1969, and the company started setting up a sales network across Europe. In 1979, SUCO managed to further develop its pressure switches, especially for hydraulic and pneumatic applications. Meanwhile, SUCO invested in its international presence, culminating in 1988 with the start of sales in the USA and, ten years later, in Asia. In 2002, SUCO successfully entered the markets in both South America and Eastern Europe.
Throughout its history, SUCO has always been a benchmark for quality. The production facilities house modern test benches and an R&D centre with an in-house test laboratory. In 2017, the company received a third certification according to the quality management standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.
