On Thursday, 4 December 2025, parts specialist TVH organized the fifth edition of IT Talks at The Hub, its headquarters in Waregem. The event brought together around 250 IT professionals and tech enthusiasts to explore emerging tech trends and innovative solutions, with AI taking a prominent place in the spotlight. Among the speakers was VRT journalist Tim Verheyden, who captivated the audience with an eye-opening talk on AI and disinformation.
The programme featured a mix of inspiring sessions from both internal and external experts. Stijn Stabel (Vice President Data at TVH) shared how TVH’s data landscape has evolved from fragmented to strategic and efficient, emphasising the importance of both technology and people. Maxim Deweerdt (NVISO) offered practical insights into AI-related threats and cybersecurity, while Tim Verheyden closed the evening with a compelling deep dive into the dynamics of disinformation.
Reflecting on the event, Stijn Stabel commented: “IT Talks once again highlights the crucial role IT plays in TVH’s ongoing development. Knowledge sharing and networking strengthen not only our capacity to innovate but also our long-term vision. By using AI technologies wisely and securely, and by fostering strong collaboration between IT and the business, we can accelerate innovation and deliver truly customer-focused solutions.”
The event is not just a networking opportunity; it also helps put TVH’s IT department in the spotlight. “TVH is often perceived primarily as a technical company because of our core business, but we actually have a large and dynamic IT department. We currently have many open roles, ranging from functional analysts across different domains to Java developers. IT Talks helps us showcase our department and attract new talent”, says event organiser Marieke Vandamme (Lead Developer at TVH).
