Wheels tiled floor

Keeping a warehouse running smoothly can take its toll on a machine’s wheels. The extensive TVH range means you’ll always find the right wheels to ensure your operations stay on track. With such a wide choice, and so many variables to bear in mind, how do you know which wheel is best for your business?

Polyurethane wheels

Your business is unique, and every surface, environment and function requires a specific type of wheel. Let’s say your warehouse or workshop has tiled floors. For basic tiled floors, you can take your pick of wheel types, but our hero product is the standard polyurethane wheel. It’s popular for pallet trucks and offers the best value in the material handling world.

Vulkollan wheels

But there’s a good chance you have more specific requirements. Will your machinery be operating in a particularly hot, cold or humid environment? What about the surface—is it often greasy or wet? Do you need non-marking or anti-static wheels? If your business works around the clock, do the wheels need to be hard working, able to withstand shifts of longer than eight hours at a time? Maybe they’ll be carrying especially heavy loads, or having to cope with frequent acceleration or braking.

If so, you’ll want a more specialised product. The heavy-duty Vulkollan range has several variations, for use in hot and humid conditions, low temperatures, hazardous environments and slippery floors.

Rubber wheels

Smooth and silent rubber is inexpensive and comes into its own in a number of environments. Our non-marking rubber wheels are ideal for the food industry, where cleanliness is essential, while anti-static rubber wheels are perfect for hazardous settings such as the petrochemical industry. We don’t recommend rubber for applications that have to run for longer than the average shift, however.

The right wheels reduce downtime, save you money and keep your business running smoothly. Your needs vary, and so do our products—we’re here to help you make the right choice. Download our tool selector now and see the difference the right wheels can make.
