Tim Caesens: lift truck electrical engineer

That lift truck technology is something completely different from car technology, is something you don't have to tell Tim Caesens (26) anymore. He experienced it personally. After working on cars for 4 years, he has now switched over to the repair of lift trucks.

“I started with TVH after a spontaneous application on the website. Fairly soon after my application I was invited for an interview and I could start. The differences with the car industry were a bit of a shock. But fortunately I was excellently guided during my start-up period. My colleague became my 'sponsor' and he taught me everything. He gave me the explanation about the different types of machines and where I can find everything. And of course he also showed me around at TVH.”

“The many different brands and types of machines are a big challenge here. This allows me to learn every day.”

“I work on electrical machines and equipment such as chargers: identifying and tracking errors my means of measuring tools and then repairing the parts or machines. What I like most here? That I continue to learn every day. The sector changes very rapidly and the big challenge here is the diversity of brands and types of machines. The flexible timetable and the compensatory leave are also a major advantage for me.”
