About LAPP
LAPP is renowned for its high-quality range of cables, cable chains and cable glands. The company was founded in 1957 when Oskar Lapp invented the first industrially produced flexible, colour-coded signal cable in his house in Stuttgart, Germany. By 1963, the company headquarters had moved, and the Lapp family was employing a staff of 30. Lapp opened its first overseas subsidiary in the USA in 1979, where the company was praised for its customer focus and service. Over the next few years, several other sales and production sites opened in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
Customer focus and a firm grasp of realism are focal points of the company's philosophy. The two second-generation directors see courage, determination and long-term commercial goals as essential to its success. Lapp has become an international company with 2500 employees and more than 100 agencies around the world.
