TVH NUDGE STARS SHINE FOR THE 5TH TIME IN QUARTER TRIATHLON IZEGEM

WAREGEM - 20 TVH Nudge Stars together with 60 other TVH colleagues completed the quarter triathlon of Izegem on 14 May. These ‘Nudge Stars’, a group of international colleagues, were professionally prepared for this top sporting performance during a period of six months. It's the fifth time in a row the global player in industrial vehicle parts organizes this course as part of its welfare policy.

For five years the Nudge Stars course has been the centerpiece of the welfare policy at TVH. This year, 20 colleagues from the Netherlands and abroad were selected to receive six months of professional guidance from Golazo experts. With personal training schedules, coaching and the necessary motivation they worked towards 1000 m of swimming, 40 km of cycling and 10 km of running.

MORE THAN JUST SPORTS

The Nudge Stars are the showcase of Nudge, the welfare policy of TVH. With initiatives centered around exercise, healthy nutrition and mental well-being, the company encourages its employees worldwide to adopt sustainable, healthy habits. The presence of a passion for sports at TVH again showed yesterday: apart from the 20 Nudge Stars, many other colleagues took part in the triathlon on their own initiative.

For Valerie Vanherzeele, Employee Happiness Assistant at TVH, this edition is unique. After years of organizing Nudge activities behind the scenes, she was now at the starting line herself. "As a co-organizer I know the difficulty of the course, but as a participant it's only now I experience the enormous unity within the group. Pushing boundaries together with 19 other colleagues, that's where our corporate values of Take Initiative and Show Courage really come to life. It's the perfect way to celebrate this fifth edition," says Valerie. 

EXERCISE FOR THE CLIMATE: LIGNAVERDA CHALLENGE

The triathlon is not the only sporting focus this month. The yearly Lignaverda Challenge is also held from 22 April until 16 May. Employees all over the world join forces to exercise as many kilometers or minutes as possible. This all contributes to the reforestation of the 'Great Green Wall' in Senegal. This way TVH connects the health of its employees to the health of the earth.
