TVH EMPLOYEES DONATE MORE THAN 50 000 EUROS TO GOOD CAUSES

The employees of parts specialist TVH collected more than 50 000 euros for several good causes in 2023. The company organises actions throughout the year, from a sausage grill and 'klaaskoeken' breakfast to a Winter market.  On top of that, employees could also donate part of their team building budget to a good cause of their choice.

The annual Winter market at TVH concluded 2023, and the company also organised a raffle to collect money for two daytime activity centres. Those actions raised nearly 12 000 euros, but TVH rounded that amount up to 20 000 euros. This year, the company selected vzw De Stege in Waregem, and De Hoge Kouter in Kortrijk.

ACTIONS FOR THE GOOD CAUSE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

The Social Committee, which consists of several TVH employees, is the driving force behind these actions. They often choose charities that prioritise the human aspect.

For instance, the proceeds of the cake sale went to project Ceifar in Brazil. A sausage grill raised money for the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. The MS Liga and Kom op tegen Kanker were also supported, by means of a chocolate and azalea sale.

In autumn, there was the Youca Action Day, on which occasion the youth did their bit, and the earthquake victims in Morocco also got a slice of the cake, as some 370 colleagues raised money with the 'klaaskoeken' breakfast.

TVH also provided each colleague with a team building budget in 2023. Some employees chose to donate part of this budget to a good cause, which allowed to support a further 13 charities.

Peter Geiregat, Chief People Officer at TVH, is proud of the engagement of TVH's employees: "TVH is really dedicated to its employees, but our colleagues clearly also think of other people. This engagement completely fits our values: We Are One. In 2024, we shall continue to be committed to the community, with existing actions, but also with new initiatives, such as the TVH quiz. In this way, we try to have a positive impact."
