Alex Mussers of Bresam Heftrucks in the Netherlands has over three decades of experience in the equipment rental business. Naturally, keeping his fleet in optimal condition is essential to ensure his clients are happy. In this customer story, he explains how TVH is his company’s mainstay to achieve this.

 

Alex Mussers has been in the forklift trade for more than 30 years. He started out as a technician and today he’s the owner of Bresam Heftrucks, a leading forklift specialist. The company has seen huge growth in the past 20 years, with seven branches in the Netherlands, and a Dutch and Spanish subsidiary. Bresam specialises in the rental of small earth-movers, mobile elevating work platforms and forklift trucks.

 

“I always try to convince people that it’s better to rent a machine than to buy one themselves. With the money they save, they can invest in their own business,” he explains. “When you rent, you obviously don’t have to worry about maintenance, inspections and repairs.”
Bresam’s size and geographical spread make it an attractive partner for its customers. Alex: “Our scale means we can buy in greater quantities if we have agreements with our suppliers and negotiate more discounts. But we can also get to our customers faster. We’re always in the area.”

Keeping his fleet in optimal condition is essential to ensuring his clients are happy. So the importance of a reliable supplier like TVH can’t be overstated. “It matters to us that we have satisfied customers, of course.” Alongside quality, the speed of the service he can offer clients is vital. “Delivery time is very important to us,” he says. “Normally, any technical issues are resolved within a day.”

TVH ticks all these boxes. “TVH is a super partner, because they have such a diverse range of parts and all the product brands are represented,” he says. “Their reliability in terms of deliveries and supply continuity are always good, and so is the availability of the products. Quality is obviously vital too.”
Alex also appreciates the way TVH is always looking for new products to add to its range, such as the recent addition of Sinoboom parts. “I think it’s great that a company understands the value of cooperating to guarantee parts supply.”

GLOBAL COVERAGE INSPIRES CONFIDENCE

While TVH has a significant share of the market today, Alex feels that it’s still the same family business he’s been dealing with for much of his career.
 

TVH’s user-friendly systems make it simple to choose parts and consult manuals while out in the field. In addition, it’s equally easy for Alex’s team to see when parts have been picked and shipped. Digitalisation means that most contact is via electronic means these days, and the Bresam staff are happy with the communication channels and the relationship they have with TVH’s representatives.
 

So, finally, what about marks out of 10 for the partnership with TVH? Alex gives it a 9. “That’s a very high rating,” he points out. “There are always areas for improvement, of course, but what I like is that TVH is constantly looking for new products. We know they have global coverage, and that gives us confidence.”
