At TVH, we offer our employees a variety of tools and support they need to live a healthier lifestyle. In October, HealthStat, our on-site health and wellness clinic in Olathe, raised awareness about significant topics including men’s health, breast cancer and diabetes.
Kari Liggett, Nurse Practitioner at the clinic, with over 18 years of nursing experience, in collaboration with Lucy DelSarto, our Nudge Health and Wellness Coach, offered educational materials and articles for employees to gain a better overview of men's health and breast cancer. In addition, they hosted an informational session to discuss diabetes, its causes, effective treatments and recovery.
The clinic also provided flu shots to help protect employees during the upcoming flu season. This is just one of the various benefits that the clinic offers throughout the year. The services include preventive and non-preventive healthcare such as annual physicals, weight management, blood pressure checks, laboratory work, specialist referrals and more. All the assistance is offered at no cost to TVH employees, their spouse, and dependents ages 2-26.
The clinic is part of a comprehensive initiative designed to increase employee focus on wellness and preventative care, by offering convenient and affordable healthcare.
