TVH Launches a Veterans Program

In August of 2019, TVH employees started the Veterans Resources program, which aims to better the lives of veterans in the Olathe and Grayslake communities. This is accomplished by finding resources such as: mental health counseling, assistance programs and acquiring VA contacts. The program also focuses on giving our veterans the recognition they deserve by hosting annual Veterans Day lunches in Olathe, as well as handing out gift cards for lunch at our Grayslake location. TVH also sponsors an event by our TVHNudge program called, Tweak the Treat which is now in its 11th year. This event takes donated candy from children all around the metro area, and turns it into care packages with letters and other goodies for our troops.

Within TVH, we are making an effort to support our Veterans by adding their specific military branch emblem to employee’s work photos. According to Kory Tinsley, a TVH employee who is also Veteran himself said, “To make an effort to welcome and support veterans truly upholds the TVH We Are One culture and the value of our people.” For example, to show our appreciation on Veterans Day, the TVHCares program helped employees decorate the outside of the Olathe office with American flags and yellow ribbons tied to trees. By showing our appreciation in small ways, we work towards a larger goal of honoring their sacrifice and dedication.
