Pneumatic tyres

Pneumatic tyres give you a comfortable ride. The air pressure inside the tyre provides resistance against heavy weights and other forces that try to squeeze your tyre out of shape. It also creates a cushioning effect that lowers the impact of bumps in the road. 

Pneumatic tyres are a comfortable and popular choice for many environments. We don’t recommend using them in any environments where there is a high likelihood of punctures or running flat.

Solid tyres

Solid tyres differ to pneumatic tyres: they aren’t filled with air. Instead, they have a strong casing construction that uses two to three layers of rubber. This makes them incredibly durable and immune to punctures and deflation. Use these tyres in environments and industries where there is sharp debris to drive over.

Press-on tyres

Press-on tyres are made of a single layer of solid rubber that is moulded to a steel band. They are available with both smooth and traction tread patterns. 

Like solid tyres, press-on tyres do not contain air and are completely puncture-proof, making them popular in industries with a lot of sharp debris. How do you know whether you need solid tyres or press-on tyres? Check your machine manual. Every machine is built with a certain type of tyre in mind.

FOAM-FILLED TYRES

MEWP tyres need to be puncture-proof. They need to be sturdy. And they must be reliable to ensure absolute safety. This is why foam-filled tyres are an excellent option. They are filled with an anti-puncture foam. Thanks to the weight and density of the foam, they offer increased stability that you’ll feel immediately.

TVH has a dedicated tyre-filling cabin. Would you like the complete wheel assembly (tyres, rims and foam-filling) as a package? Or do you need your original pneumatic tyres filled with foam? Just ask! We do it all.
