Did you know TVH continuously promotes and encourages 5 strong company values? These values (spirit, group, power, soul and goal) are the essence of a positive working environment. The day before Youth Day, our Johannesburg staff showed up in their ‘younger you’ outfit (school uniform, favourite cartoon T-shirt as a child …) and participated in a build- a-burger workshop. How were the burgers built? Our Values Committee identified each TVH value with … yes, really: a burger component.
The Johannesburg branch staff could leave their lunch boxes at home on Friday 15/6: the TVH Value Committee organised a build-a-burger event to celebrate Youth Day. Our colleagues could find all ingredients to build their own delicious hamburger, but to keep in mind our 5 TVH Values, each burger component represented a value. Who finds what value most important? That was an interesting topic to discuss over lunch.
To give this day an extra playful touch, we invited everyone to come to work in the ‘younger you’ outfit: their favourite cartoon T-shirt as a kid, a backpack, braids … The best-dressed award went to Monda Papi (Credit Controller), who borrowed her daughter’s school uniform for the occasion.
