TVH Voka Charter 2023

WARM COMPANY CULTURE

TVH is known as a market leader in the field of parts and accessories for lift trucks, industrial vehicles, construction and agricultural machinery. But also as an employer with a warm corporate culture. And TVH highlighted this in its 2022 employer branding campaign, which impressed the Voka auditors. Frederik Hanssens, SHE Manager at TVH: "The campaign emphasises that people are much more than just their job, and that versatility is an absolute strength. It perfectly reflects our company culture: at TVH, the person behind the job is central."

75 000 TREES IN AFRICA

TVH also prioritises the health of its people. Through the well-being programme 'Nudge', the company regularly launches health themes. The philosophy behind this: healthy employees are happy employees. On top of that, TVH occasionally links its health actions to a sustainability project. Anton Theunynck, Sustainability Manager at TVH: "With our Nudge programme, we sometimes focus on healthy food, other times on mental well-being or exercise. During our most recent activity initiative, we challenged employees worldwide to collect 150 000 kilometres by walking, running, cycling etc. In exchange, TVH planted 75 000 trees in the Great Green Wall in Senegal. An action that also received praise from the Voka jury."

LOGISTIC STANDOUTS

Finally, TVH also scored on the logistics front with some initiatives. With its commitment to inland water transport for goods transport, for example, now that fuel prices are sky-high, and with its 'box-on-demand' packaging machine. This allows packaging to be better matched to the parcel contents, which in turn makes more efficient use of transport space.

NEXT UP: UNITAR AMBASSADOR

Thanks to the VCDO, TVH may call itself 'UNITAR SDG Champion' since 2022. The UNITAR label is an international recognition for corporate sustainability. Through a step-by-step commitment, companies can become SDG Pioneer, SDG Champion or SDG Ambassador. Anton: "We are making every effort to take the next step and become an Ambassador."
