TVH has acquired whatever the outcome of the Brexit negotiations, a massive new warehouse right in the centre of the UK. This way Stephen Smallbone, General Manager Sales of TVH UK, and John Percy, Managing Director of Bepco UK, want to guarantee the excellent level of service customers have come to expect.
"In order to guarantee long-term support for our customers in the UK market, we have now purchased a warehouse right in the centre of the UK - in Kidderminster, Worcestershire,” Smallbone announced yesterday in a direct mail to their UK customers.
He continues: “This solution is twofold. Firstly, the Kidderminster warehouse is currently 130,000 square feet with the future possibility to extend to 185,000 square feet. This removes once and for all the effect of possible customs or aircraft/air-bridge delays on urgent deliveries for parts that will be stocked in our UK warehouse. Secondly, we expect our enlarged UK warehouse to offer our customers later cut-off times for order placing. Whatever the outcome of the Brexit negotiations, the construction work is expected to start soon so that the warehouse will be operational within a year. Until then, we will provide the solution as stated in an earlier communication to our customers.”
