Your Most-Asked Questions, Answered with evidence
TotalSource has been active for over 30 years, with a presence in more than 180 countries and a catalogue of more than 46 million part numbers. Over 55 million TotalSource parts are shipped each year across sectors ranging from agriculture and construction to material handling and industry, with a return rate of only 0.2%.
We maintain a large stock of over 210,000 TotalSource parts at any given time, covering 60% of the most commonly ordered items. However, some specialised or less common items are made to order. For these parts, we offer just-in-time ordering through our global network of suppliers.
TotalSource parts are almost always in stock, ensuring fast delivery and minimal downtime. Thanks to our network of over 90 branches worldwide, we can ship 94% of TotalSource orders within 24 hours.
As with other TVH products, all TotalSource parts and accessories have a one-year warranty from the date of invoice. All warranty information can be found in the TVH terms and conditions. However, we receive warranty claims on less than 0.2% of the TotalSource products that we sell, a clear sign of our commitment to consistent quality.
Within TVH’s Quality Department, we constantly establish product standards. These standards contain a number of conditions that are Critical to Quality (CTQs) and that the product must therefore meet. CTQs typically relate to a product's form, fit and function.
These quality standards then form the basis of the specification sheet we use for first article inspection (product onboarding) and quality inspection of incoming products at goods-in. For TotalSource, the standards of our parts and accessories must be such that customers experience flawless assembly and performance that meets their expectations. They must also comply with all relevant safety and product regulations.
To achieve our product quality commitment, we have over 100 colleagues in our quality teams, who are dedicated to monitoring our products and ensuring that all parts and accessories are of the right quality. Additionally, our more than 25 in-house developed test benches simulate real-world usage.
Parts and accessories must meet quality standards for form, fit and function before being added to the TotalSource range. Random sampling of incoming goods is also standard practice to ensure that TotalSource products remain of high quality. In this way, our quality has become so consistent that 99.8% of TotalSource parts and accessories meet our customers’ requirements.
If we receive a complaint about a TotalSource product, we take immediate corrective action. The quality team checks which warehouses have similar products and takes action to get them removed from the supply chain. This is done within 48 hours so that sub-standard parts are taken out of circulation in less than two days.
